Outlook clients not updating oab
It needs to be run on Exchange shell on Exchange server :) Look ideally the OAB update happens everyday at midnight so either you wait for sometime or once update happens need to check if its few days then if OAB is getting generated on the Mailbox server "Exchange OAB" folder and Transferred to CAS server and "OAB" folder is updated with same GUID folder and LZX files till today.- Rancy Yes thats the update on Mailbox if for some reason FDS service on CAS cannot pull thats where the clients (Outlook) will pull the OAB data from.Another thing to note is, I also made a change on a different account.I checked the "hide address book from global list" option.To make new users show up in the GAL immediately, you can force a rebuild of the OAB.Once the OAB is rebuilt (may take longer in larger organizations), users must download the OAB in Outlook.When i look in this folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Client Access\OAB) on the IIS server, I see a folder with date modified today, but the files in this folder have all modified date a few months ago ? Ive also found a folder (C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\Exchange OAB) which contains more recent files but not from today when i updated the offline address book via the exchange management console What am i missing ?
